Creative professional | 30 years’ experience in events and catering management.
I have always been a spirited, creative individual with the ability to take brave steps into the unknown. This has helped me to shape a varied and interesting career that spans a diverse and balanced skill set.
At the age of 21 I undertook a two-year teaching assignment that involved relocation from the UK to Australia. It was here that I discovered my lifelong love of learning. Whilst in Australia, I set up a Montessori school at the request of several parents, who acted as funding partners. The school quickly grew to support 16 children.
On return to the UK and following a short family career break, I secured an in-house catering role with Estee Lauder. This job was the cornerstone of my career and between 1993 and 2017 I have organized and managed catering events for some of the largest companies in world, with royal and celebrity guest lists.
The highlight of my career, however, was the project management and publishing of my book, Claire’s Kitchen. The book achieved a top 10 place in the Evening Standard Christmas edition in 2011, against significant celebrity competition.
My deep and broad international perspective is underpinned by a natural creative flair and expertise in food styling, menu design, and event planning. As a world food expert with elegant tastes and intimate knowledge of food markets in London and New York, I am now seeking my next creative challenge.
